Physical Description

Paper (with the exception of foll. 2 and 373—376, which are vellum), 12 in. by 8, consisting of 376 leaves. The quires, 40 in number, are signed with letters (ܡ, fol. 372). Each page is divided into two columns of about 56 lines. Foll. 2, 199, 200, 201, and 373—376, are more modern than the rest.

Hand 1 (major, Unspecified Syriac script): The writing is small and inelegant, with occasional Syriac and Greek vowels and other points, of the xviith cent. See additions
Hand 3 (minor, Unspecified Syriac script): Foll. 199 and 200 were written by one Antonius of Jerusalem. See additions.
Hand 4 (minor, Unspecified Syriac script): Fol. 201 is in the handwriting of one Sergius al-Jubailī. See additions
Hand 5 (minor, Unspecified Syriac script): Foll. 2 and 373-376 (which are in vellum and more modern) are in a different hand from any of the above, but the writer has not recorded his name.

Addition 1: The name of the scribe was Abraham bar Yeshūaʿ, called ܓ݂ܙܘܝ, from the village of Kosūr, near Māridīn; and he wrote the volume in the convent of S. Mary Deipara, called Beth Marcus, at Jerusalem.
