Physical Description
Vellum, about 9 5/8 in. by 6, consisting of 39 leaves, the last of which is soiled and torn. The quires, four in number, are signed with letters, from ܟܗ to ܟܚ, but there was an older numeration, apparently from ܟܘ to ܟܛ (see fol. 31 a). Each page is divided into two columns, of from 33 to 43 lines.
Hand 1 (major, Unspecified Syriac script):
This manuscript is written in a small, neat hand of the viith cent., probably soon after A.D. 641 (see the List of the Emperors of Constantinople, beginning with Constantine the Great, and ending with Constantine the son of Heraclius, A.D. 641).

Fol. 40 a seems originally to have contained some chronological notes, for we can still read near the top the words ܘܒܫܢܬ ܫܒܥܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫ, and lower down the words ܡܢ ܥܝܕܬܐ (sic) ܕܐܘܪܗܝ . ܒܪܕܘܦܝܐ . . . ܫܬܡܐܐ ܘܬܡܢܝܢ ܘܬܫܥ . . .
Addition 2 (Fol. 40a):
The entries on fol. 40 a have, however, been erased, and some words in Karshūnī written over them, of which the half has been torn away.
