Physical Description

Vellum, about 8 ¾ in. by 5 7/8, consisting of 166 leaves, some of which are much stained and torn, especially foll. 1—3, 13, 22, 71, 128, 133, 136, 139, 160, 161 and 165. The quires, originally about 20 in number, are now signed with letters. Leaves are wanting at the beginning, as well as after foll. 1, 2, 62, 101, 121, 129, 159, 160 and 165. Each page is divided into two columns, of from 32 to 43 lines.

Hand 1 (major, Estrangela script): This volume is written in a small, regular Estrangělā of the vith or viith cent.
Hand 2 (minor, Unspecified Syriac script): With the exception of foll. 106 and 166, which are of the viiith or ixth cent. See additions.

Addition 1 (Fol. 166b): The colophon, fol. 166 b, belongs to the time when the manuscript was repaired, and foll. 106 and 166 added to it.
