Physical Description

Paper, about 5 3/4 in. by 4 1/2, consisting of 61 leaves, many of which are much stained and torn, especially foll. 1—3, 16, and 58—61. The quires are without signatures. Leaves are wanting at the beginning and end, as well as after foll. 24 and 57. The number of lines in each page varies from 13 to 17.

Hand 1 (sole, Arabic Garshuni script): This manuscript is written in an inelegant hand of about the xiiith cent. Composed in Arabic, but transcribed in the Syriac or Karshūnī character. The language is very incorrect and ungrammatical.

Hand 1 (sole, Unspecified Syriac script): This manuscript is written in a neat, regular hand of the xivth cent.
