This manuscript contains: The four Gospels according to the Peshitta version. In total, including sub-sections, this manuscript contains 5 items.
Physical Description
Vellum, about 12 7/8 in. by 9 3/4, of 211 leaves, a few of which are stained and torn, especially foll. 1, 11, 120, 210, and 211. The quires are 24 in number, but only one leaf now remains of the first, and two leaves of the third. They were originally signed with both letters and arithmetical figures (e.g. foll. 14 a,ܕ; 24 a, ܗ; 50a, ܚ; 60a, ܛ; 100a, ܝܓ; 140 a, ܝܙ; 158 a, ܝܛ; 178 a, ܟܐ), but have since been incorrectly renumbered with letters only. Each page is divided into two columns, of from 19 to 24 lines.
Hand 1 (major, Estrangela script):
The writing is a large, regular Estrangela of the 6th or 7th century.

Addition 2 (Fol. 211):
Fol. 211 is written by a hand of the 9th century, and was probably added by the same person who retouched many portions of the older text.

Other lessons have been noted by different hands on the margins.
Addition 4 (Fol. 211a):
On fol. 211 a, after the doxology, there stands a note, informing us that the manuscript belonged to the convent of S. Mary Deipara in the desert of Scete.
