Physical Description

Vellum, about 8 1/8 in. by 5 3/4, consisting of 86 leaves, many of which are much stained and torn, especially foll. 1—3, 11—13, 19, 20, 52, 65, 70—73, 78, 80, 81, 85, and 86. The quires, signed with letters, are 10 in number, but the first is imperfect, leaves being wanting at the beginning and after foll. 1 and 9. There are from 22 to 28 lines in each page.

Addition 2 (Fol. 86a): On fol. 86 a there is a note, stating that this manuscript was written for the convent of S. Mary Deipara, at the expense of one Simeon, from the convent of Mār Solomon near Dolūk (ܕܠܝܟ or ܕܠܘܟ, %), in the year 1188, A.D. 877. The name of the scribe is not mentioned. ܥܒ̣ܕ ܟܬܒܐ ܗܢܐ ܕܠܘܘܝܐ. ܠܕܝܪܐ ܩܕܝܫـ[ܬܐ] ܕܒܝܬ ܝܠܕܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܣܘܪ̈ܝܝܐ ܕܒܡܕܒ[ܪܐ] ܕܐܣܩܝܛܝ̣. ܫܡܥܘܢ ܚ̇ܛܝܐ ܘܟܕ ܠܐ . . . ܡܢ ܥܘܡܪܐ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܡܪܝ ܫܠܘܡܘܢ ܕܥܠ ܓܢܒ ܕܠܝܟ܆ ܡܛܠ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܕܢܦܫܗ ܏ܘܫ. ܘ . ܐܬܟܬܒ ܕܝܢ ܒܡܕܒ[ܪܐ ܕܐܣ]ـܩܝܛܝ. ܫܢܬ ܐ[ܠܦ] ܘ܏ܩܦܚ ܒܕܝ̈ܘܢـ[ܝܐ.]
