Additions
Addition 1 (Fol. 233b):
At the end of the last order, fol. 233 b, after the words
ܫܠܡ̣ܬ݁ ܦܠܓܘܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܕܟܪܘܟܝܐ. ܒܟܠܗ̈ܝܢ ܕܝܠܗ̇, we find the same metrical colophon as in Add. 12,146
.
Addition 2 (Fol. 233b):
Then comes the following note:
ܐܫܬ݁ܡܠܝ̣ܘ ܟܬ̈ܒܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܩܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܒܫܢܬ ܐܠܦ ܘܬܠܬܡܐܐ ܘܬܡܢܥܣܪ̈ܐ ܕܝܘ̈ܢܝܐ. ܐܝܪܚ ܫܒܛ ܒܟܗ ܒܗ. ܝܘܡ ܗ ܒܫܒܐThese three words are on the margin..

This name is written on the margin, and is very indistinct. After ܙܝܟܝܪܝ one would expect ܪܝܫܐ (see Add. 12,146
), but the word looks more like ܙܝܟܪܝ repeated.

"These former books (or first volumes) were
finished in the year of the Greeks 1318 (A.D. 1007), on Thursday, the 25th of
the month of Shĕbāt, at the ninth hour of the day, in the days of
Mār John, patriarch of Antioch,
John viii. bar 'Abdūn.
See Assemani, Bibl. Orient., t. ii., p. 352; Le Quien, Oriens Christ, t. ii.,
col. 1380. and Mar Zachariah, archbishop of Alexandria,

Oriens Christ., t. ii., col. 480.
and Mār Thomas,
metropolitan of Jerusalem, and Mār Thomas, metropolitan
of Tiberias, and Mār Theophilus, metropolitan of
Damascus, and Mār Jacob, bishop of
Halbūn,—may the Lord, through their prayers, make His rest and peace
dwell with His people and His Church, Amen—and in the days of Mār David, abbat
of the Desert, and of Elias the priest, his second (in authority). To the glory
and honour of the Holy Trinity, these former books (or first volumes) were
finished, and their latter fellows (the second volumes) were written, by the
hands of Yeshūa' the sinner, and, though unworthy, called a monk, who is known
as Bar Andreas (the son of Andrew), from Ḥiṣn Zaid in Mesopotamia. He wrote them
in the house of the elder, venerable as Abraham, Abū 'Alī Zakarīyā, the
chief (?) of the Tagritans, the son of the deceased John—may God pardon him and
his dead—who took pains and wrote them (i.e. got them written), in order that
this spiritual treasure might be deposited, with its fellows, in the holy
convent of the Mother of God in the desert of Scete, and that they might pray
for him," etc. "I beseech you, O holy Fathers, who may hereafter fall in with
this book, if there be an error in it, correct it, and do not blame, because the
greater part of it (ܣ̇ܓܗ = ܣܘܓ̣ܐܗ?) was put together without a manuscript (to
copy from); but be mindful of the sinner Yeshua', and say:" etc.
Addition 3 (Fol. 233b):
Below, there is written, in a different hand, a note mentioning the name of the
priest 'Abdā as one who had taken pains with these volumes (namely, in
correcting them).
Addition 4 (Fol. 233b):
Farther down, there are two notes, written by one hand, recording the names of
the priests Kaumā and Joseph
Sīmandāyā, monks of the convent of S. Mary Deipara.
